What is a stored panel and when should I use it?

What: A stored panel is a sidebar panel that can be added to multiple channels but updated in one location without causing a refresh to the user.
 
Why: If you have a panel that will be added to multiple channels or one panel that you will be updating frequently, the Stored Panel allows you to update in one location without causing a sidebar refresh for the user. 
 
When: Common use cases for a stored panel include:
  • Brackets
  • Quests 
  • Chat 
  • Schedule 
 
In this example, you will see that an update was made to the panel via the collection and it updated the panel on the sidebar without causing a refresh.
